Mastering the Travel Journal in Tunisia

On a 10-day creative journey through Tunis, the Writing With Jenna travel-journal workshop in Tunisia invites writers, artists and travelers to transform their journey's into deeply personal and evocative narratives.

Set in two beautifully restored historic houses within the Medina — Dar Ben Gacem — this immersive retreat blends writing workshops led by Jenna, sketching and painting classes led by myself, with sensory-rich local experiences: olive-grove afternoons, market tours, medina explorations, calligraphy lessons, visits to heritage artisans, and even a day trip to ancient Carthage and the seaside village Sidi Bou Said. Participants learn to craft custom travel journals — using materials like handmade marbled paper — and emerge with their own travel narrative, a deeper connection to place, and the skills to travel as storytellers, not tourists.
